The increasing demand for efficient surface preparation techniques in multiple industries has spurred considerable investigation into laser ablation. This research explicitly compares the effectiveness of pulsed laser ablation for the removal of both paint films and rust corrosion from steel substrates. We observed that while both materials are sus
